Therapy is an investment — in yourself, in your relationships, in finally feeling like you're not just managing. I'm an out-of-network provider, which means our work together is guided entirely by what you need, not by what an insurance company will approve or how many sessions they'll fund. No arbitrary limits. No required diagnosis just to get in the door.

Two Ways to use Out-Of-Network benefits

While I don’t accept insurance, many of my clients receive 50-80% reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits.

  1. Check your benefits with Thrizer.

Insurance logistics can feel like one more thing to manage — here's how to make this part as simple as possible. Use the benefits calculator below to verify what your out-of-network benefits are and what potential reimbursement you could receive from our sessions. Thrizer submits the Superbills to your insurance on your behalf, and once you reach your out-of-network deductible, they'll send your reimbursement directly — by mail or direct deposit..

2. Submit Superbills on Your Own

At the beginning of each month you will receive a Superbill that will detail the sessions you had in the previous month. This Superbill will contain all the information required for your insurance company to process and determine if they will provide reimbursement.

You can contact your insurance company directly and ask them the following questions to verify out-of-network benefits:

  • Do I have mental health/behavioral health benefits?

  • What is the reimbursement rate for out-of-network providers?

  • Do I need pre-approval or a referral?

  • How many sessions per calendar year will my plan cover?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible?

Investment in Your Healing

The work we do here isn't standard therapy with a specialty label on it. It's genuinely different.

I hold advanced credentials in both AASECT-Certified Sex Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy — which means I can hold the full picture of what you're carrying. How your attachment history shows up in your intimate life. How anxiety lives in the body. How sexual struggles and relationship patterns are often the same wound in different places. Most therapists work one lane at a time. This work holds all of it at once.

You're worth the care you've been giving to everyone else.

How Much Does Individual or Couples Therapy Cost?

Whether you're working on sex therapy, people-pleasing and high-functioning anxiety, or couples work, sessions are billed the same way — by format, not specialty:

Individual Therapy Sessions: $250 per 55 minute session

Couples/Relationship Therapy Sessions: $250 per 55 minute session

Reduced Rates for Those Who Serve: $225 per 55 minute session

In appreciation for those who have dedicated their lives to serving others, I offer a reduced rate for:

  • Healthcare workers (nurses, mental health professionals, physicians, etc.)

  • Educators (teachers, counselors, etc.)

  • Military service members (active duty, veterans, and spouses)

*Please mention this during your consultation.

Sliding Scale Availability

I believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, regardless of financial circumstances. I maintain three sliding-scale spots at $100 per session for clients experiencing financial hardship.

These spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and require a brief conversation about your circumstances during your free consultation. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to work with you.

Serving individual and couples therapy clients in Herndon, VA and virtually across Virginia. Rates reflect specialized training in AASECT-Certified Sex Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Reduced and sliding-scale rates are available; reach out to find what fits.
