How I work

Here's what I believe: your struggles make sense, even when they feel impossible to explain.

Struggles with sex, anxiety, or relationships don't happen in a vacuum. They usually make sense when you look at where they came from — especially those early experiences when connection felt unsafe, inconsistent, or hard to count on.

To cope, you probably learned to shut down, people-please, or push yourself to be more than enough. Those strategies helped. They got you here. But they can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, your body, and the people you love most.

In therapy, we look at those patterns together — with curiosity, not judgment. My training as an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist and in Emotionally Focused Therapy means I can hold the full picture of what you're carrying: how your past shows up in your intimate life, how the pieces connect, and why it all makes sense once you can see it clearly.

This isn't just about talking or gaining insight. I want you to actually feel different — in your body, your relationships, and how you see yourself. You don't have to hold it all together here.

My practice welcomes individuals, couples, and people in non-monogamous relationships. Whoever you are, you belong here.

My core values

Pleasure

Sex, desire, and joy are part of what it means to be fully human. I take your pleasure seriously.

Curiosity

I'm not here to provide you answers. I'm here to help you ask better questions.

Wholeness

Your anxiety, your sexuality, your relationships, your identity — they're connected, and we treat them that way.

SElf-trust

A big part of our work is helping you find your way back to your own knowing.

Human

I'm a real person who has done my own work. I bring that into the room.

Humor

Therapy doesn't have to be somber. Laughter has a place here too.

Therapy with me is

Safe for all of you — your sexuality, your identity, your relationship structure, your experiences

Rooted in attachment science and 10 years of specialized training

A space where your desires, questions, and history are welcome without judgment

About actually feeling different, not just understanding why you don’t

Therapy with me is not

Me deciding what’s healthy or right for you, your relationships, or sexuality

Surface-level coping skills that stop working the moment life gets hard

Something that leaves you feeling heard but not changed

A place where parts of you have to stay hidden

My Training & Education

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Virginia Board of Counseling — the full clinical license required to practice therapy in this state.

AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist (CST) · Certified Holistic Sex Therapist

AASECT is the gold standard in sex therapy certification. Very few therapists in Northern Virginia hold this credential. It means supervised, specialized training in desire, identity, shame, and the body — far beyond what a general therapy license covers.

Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

The foundational graduate degree in mental health therapy, relationships, and human development.

Advanced Emotionally Focused Individual Therapist (EFIT) · Advanced Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFCT)

EFT is one of the most research-supported approaches for lasting change in relationships. Advanced certification means training at the highest level of the model — not just an introductory workshop.

Virginia Board Approved Clinical Supervisor

This credential means I meet the standards to supervise and train other licensed therapists — a mark of clinical depth and experience.

As a human…

I'm a mom, wife, sister, and daughter navigating all the roles and relationships that come with being human. I'm originally from New Hampshire, made my way through Boston, and eventually put down roots in Virginia. In my free time, you'll find me reading (probably true crime), playing D&D with friends, or hanging out with my cats.

What matters more is this: I've personally navigated anxiety, neurodivergence, and my sexual identity, not just professionally, but in my own life. My therapy journey started at age 14, and it changed everything. That experience showed me what's possible when someone can hold space for all of you, messiness and all. It's why I do this work, and it's how I know that the journey home to yourself is not just possible but deeply worth taking.

You’ve been navigating this alone for too long.

I’m Here to Walk Alongside You.
